Beulah Carr

Mrs. Roland C. (Beulah) Carr was also a library school graduate. She brought a certain expectation of her patrons, and it was said she didn't need to shush people coming through the doors. "A curmudgeon" is how one patron remembered her. It was during Mrs. Carr's tenure that the operation and ownership of the library was transferred from the Fairhope Single Tax Corporation to the City of Fairhope. The transfer was completed in the spring of 1964.
