Anna Braune

Anna Braune brought an artist's touch to the role of librarian. She was a painter and sketch artist that loved to draw landscapes and animals. My coworker, Megrez, and Mac, a patron and former library board member, are two people who fondly remember Ms. Braune's librarian days. Mac said, "If I wanted to check a book out of the library, I had to write my name down. I wanted those books so I learned to write my name." Megrez,  said her best memory was of being in Ms. Braune's home when she was a tween. She was mesmerized watching Ms. Braune's cat. "Ms Braune pulled the tips of the white gloves off. Then her cat would take gentle bites and pull the glove off each finger and then off her hand."
